Otra chaquetita para varón / Another jacket for a baby boy

Los patrones a crochet para varoncitos son bastante escasos....pero esta chaquetita cumple su cometido a la perfección.... Tomé la idea de la revista Crochet Today! (Nov 2010).  El cuerpo de la chaqueta está tejida en tres partes.  Primero se trabaja el panel principal, que abarca parte de ambos frentes y toda la espalda, tejido de lado a lado comenzando por el borde del frente derecho y terminando por el borde del frente opuesto.  A continuación, tejemos la pretina y cerramos las costuras de los hombros, y finalmente tejemos el panel frontal a punto bajo, que forma a su vez el cuello smocking de esta chaquetita.

Patterns for crocheted baby boy items are very rare, but this jacket fits the bill nicely.  I came across this idea in a Crochet Today magazine (Nov 2010). The body of the jacket is crocheted in three parts.  First, work the main panel which comprises part of both fronts and the back of the jacket.  This panel is stitched sideways, beginning with the right front and ending with the left front.  The ribbing is added at this time and then the shoulder seams are stitched closed.  Finally, work the front panel (in single crochet), which form the "smocking" collar in the jacket.

The basic structure in process.   In these pictures you can see the first front panel and the back panel already completed. and the beginning of the opposite front panel.  Wok chains to create the opening for the sleeve and continue working the pattern.  The picture below shows the completed first row of this front.

Esta es el cuerpo de la chaquetita completo, pero sin mangas.  Queda lindo también como chalequito.
This is the finish bodice of the jacket without sleeves... It would work nicely as a vest.


En el patrón original las mangas se tejen aparte y se cosen al cuerpo, yo opté por tejer las mangas directamente retomando los puntos de la sisa agregando la pretina al final.
In the original pattern the sleeves are crocheted  and then attached to the bodice. I opted to make them by rejoining yarn at underarm and picking up the stitches.  The ribbing is added at the end.

Conjunto Neutral para Bebé / Baby Boy Neutral Set

Hace un tiempo vi un patrón de Sirdar con este punto de trencitas, y me pareció lindo para el guardarropa de un varoncito.  El cardigan original estaba trabajado en piezas (frentes y espalda unidas por los laterales y los hombros, y las mangas trabajadas desde el puño hacia los hombros y cosidas al cuerpo).
Por lo general, trato de evitar las prendas "armadas", pues en mi experiencia las costuras tienden a abultar, por lo que prefiero en la medida de lo posible realizar mis diseños en el menor número de piezas posible.
Pero como el punto me seguía pareciendo tan lindo, decidí "rediseñar" la pieza, de manera que calzara con mis medidas, tensión y estilo de construcción "en una sola pieza"-  El cuerpo se trabaja en una pieza desde el ruedo hasta el bajomanga donde se divide en frentes y espalda.  Solo hay costuras en los hombros.  Por otro lado, el punto original estaba trabajado en punto triple y yo lo adapté para trabajar en punto alto.

A while ago I saw this stitch in a Sirdar pattern...and I thought it would be a lovely addition to a little boy's wardrobe. The original cardi was done in pieces (fronts and back sewn together at shoulders and side seams)  and the sleeves were worked from the cuff up and then attached to the bodice.
I don't fancy "constructed" garments very much because in my experience seams tend to be "bulky", and whenever possible I design my garments in as few pieces as possible. 
But I still loved the stitch used in the pattern, so I went ahead and "redesigned" the pattern to fit my desired size, gauge and "one piece construction" style so that I could work the body in one piece from the bottom up to the underams.  Shoulders are seamed together.  Furthermore, the original stitch calls for trebles, and I adapted the stitch to be worked with double crochet.

Las mangas se trabajan retomando los puntos del cuerpo.  Las pretinas de puño y cintura se trabajan directamente en el ruedo y borde de la manguita.
Finalmente, agregué unas vueltas de punto bajo sobrepuesto en colores contrastantes para darle interés a la pieza.


The sleeves are worked by reattaching the yarn at the underarm and working the armhole and shoulder stitches.
Finally, for embellishment, I added a couple of sc rows worked in contrasting colors to give the piece and interesting detail.

Esta vez trabajé un lindo cardigan para bebé adaptado de "Baby It's Cold Outside" por Doris Fones.  Me encantó el punto utilizado y la abotonadura me pareció sumamente original.  Opté por simplicar las mangas utilizando simplemente punto alto.

Cute baby girl cardigan adapted from "Baby It's Cold Outside" by Doris Fones. I loved the stitch pattern and the original closures. Changed the stitch pattern for the sleeves because I needed a "simple" look.

Zapatitos bordados - Receta / Embroidered baby shoes - Pattern

Hola!!!! Acá va finalmente, la receta del zapatito bordado.  Estos están tejidos con lana bebe y ganchillo 3.00 mm.   Se comienza con una suela básica siguiendo el diagrama de abajo.  Rematar y esconder los hilos.

Hi!! Finally, here is the pattern for the embroidered baby shoe.  This one is crocheted with baby weight yarn and a 3.00 mm crochet hook.  Begin with sole, following diagram below. Tie off, cut thread and hide ends.

Contando 11 pts .a partir del centro del talón de la suelita, unir la lana nuevamente a la suelita, tomando el puntoalto  alrededor de adelante hacia atrás. (ver posición del marcador en la foto)

Counting 11 sts from center of back, rejoin yarn to sole, taking stitch around post.  (See position of marker in photo below)

Levantar 3 cadenetas y tejer pto. alto a todo el rededor. Cerrar la vuelta con pe.  Levantar 3 cadenetas (No voltear el trabajo! Estas vueltas van trabajadas en redondo)

Ch 3, and dc all around .Join row with a sl st., ch3  (Do NOT turn.  These rows are worked on the round)
Tejer otra vuelta de pto. alto . Cerrar vuelta con pe, levantar 3 cad. .

Make another dc round.  Join row with sl st., ch3.  .

Hacer 14 disminuciones de2 pa. para formar la capellada,  Continuar tejiendo pto. alto hasta completar la vuelta.  Cerrar vuelta con pe, levantar 2 cad.

Make 13  2dc decreases to shape toe.  Continue with dc to end of row. Join row with sl st., ch2.

Hacer 7 disminuciones de pto alto, 1 medio pto en el sig. pto., y contnuar con ptos. bajos hasta terminar la vuelta.  Cerrar con pe., cortar el hilo y rematar.

Make 7 2dc  decrease, hdc in next st., single crochet in remaining sts to end of round.  Join with sl st., cut thread, weave in ends.


Para el pie derecho, con la capellada hacia la derecha, unir nuevamente la lana al lateral del zapatito más cercano a tu cuerpo, contando 8 ptos desde el centro del talón.  Levantar 3 cad y trabajando en el sentido de las agujas del reloj, trabajar 14 pa.  Terminamos la pulserita trabajando 18pts altos sin cad. de base (Este video demuestra como hacer el pa sin cadena de base, está en inglés pero las imágenes son bien claras  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCm1mnyRCfI )  Si lo prefiere, al terminar los 14 pa iniciales, puede continuar teiendo 21 cadenas y retornar con 18 pa, comenzando el primer pa en la tercera cad a partir del ganchillo.  Una los punto con pto enano y remate.

For the right shoe, with toe facing right, rejoin yarn to side closest to you, counting 8 sts from center back.  Ch 3, and working clockwise, dc in next 14 sts.  Continue strap by working 18 chainless dc.  (This video demonstrates how to work de chainless dc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCm1mnyRCfI )


Para el pie izquierdo, con la capellada hacia la derecha, unir nuevamente la lana al lateral del zapatito más alejado de tu cuerpo, contando 8 puntos desde el centro del talón.  Trabajaremos ahora  en el sentido opuesto a las agujas del reloj los 14 pts altos y continuaremos con la pulserita con 18 pa sin cadena de base.

For the left shoe, with toe facing right, rejoin yarn to side farthest from you, 8 sts from center back.  Ch 3, and working counter clockwise, work a dc in each of next 14sts.  Finish strap by working 18 chainless dc.


Coser los botones y realizar el bordadito de la rosa bouillón si se desea.

Sew on buttons and embroider a bouillon rose if desired.
